Breast Reduction Surgery, also known as reduction mammaplasty, is a surgical procedure primarily aimed at reducing the size of large breasts. This procedure involves 1) removing excess breast tissue and fat, 2) lifting and reshaping the remaining breast tissue to improve the breast contour, and 3) repositioning the nipple and areola to a more natural height. Additionally, the size of the areola can be reduced to match the newly shaped breast.
Our Preferences:
We prefer a small scar technique with an incision around the areola and a vertical incision down the breast. In most patients, we don’t need to add an “ anchor scar” along the bottom of the breast. We will combine this procedure with liposuction if needed.
*This procedure is only available to out of province patients.
